Yesterday, Craig and I went for an early Sunday morning hike at Big Pocono State Park. It was our first time there and I was excited to finally see those amazing views I kept hearing about. We were NOT disappointed.
We started in parking lot #2 because that’s where the bathrooms were 😉 We then took a path down to the Vista trail where we started our hike. We hiked from the Vista trail across part of the South trail to get to the Indian trail.
I would rate the Indian trail as moderate. There were some parts that were easy but for the most part it was ROCKY. We really had to keep our heads down and watch where we were stepping.
It was ALL worth it! First, I love a good hike. Many trails out there are just glorified walking paths, so when we come across a trail that you actually have to work to get through – it makes me feel like I’m being more adventurous 😉
Plus… all that work led to the MOST beautiful views.
We really enjoyed our hike and can’t wait to get back there to try out the longer trails.
